"Fatal stabbing in Mount Roskill"
Auckland Police are investigating the death of a man who was stabbed in Mount Roskill last night.
Police were called to an incident at William Blofield Place around 11.10pm to reports that a 21-year-old man had been fatally stabbed during an altercation.
Police are speaking to a number of witnesses and a person of interest who is assisting with inquiries.
A scene examination will be conducted at William Blofield Place later this morning.
The area is cordoned off and drivers are advised to use an alternative route.
Detective Senior Sergeant Glenn Baldwin urges anyone with information that may assist Police to call 09 3026 557 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
