Pets and their owners can celebrate Christmas together this weekend at Kowhai Park.
Horowhenua District Council’s inaugural Santa Paws event offers people the opportunity to have a photograph taken with their complete family, including pets, by a professional photographer.
Photos are digital and cost $5 each, with funds raised going to support the Horowhenua SPCA.
Council’s Civic and Community Events Coordinator, Melissa Steedman, said Santa Paws is the “paw-fect” way to capture the whole family in a Christmas photo, as well as helping animals in care this festive season.
Santa Paws will be held at Kowhai Park from 9am to 12pm on Sunday 9 December. Dogs and cats must be on leashes or in crates, and other animals must be appropriately restrained.
