Following the investigation of forestry issues Council has commenced prosecutions against a number of parties under the Resource Management Act.
The prosecutions relate to six different forests in the Gisborne region, including three forests near Tolaga Bay.
The first call-over date for these prosecutions will be 9 January 2019 in Gisborne District Court.
“We will not be commenting on these prosecutions while they are before the Court,” said Council chief executive Nedine Thatcher Swann.
