Appeal for information following fatal crash in Waiuku

Statement attributable to Detective Katherine McCormick:
Police investigating a fatal crash in Waiuku want to speak to the occupants of a vehicle who we believe may be able to assist our ongoing inquiries.
The two-car crash happened shortly before 2:30pm on Waiuku Road on Friday 9 November.
Seventeen-year-old Ruby-Jean Steele, the driver of the one of the vehicles, died at the scene.
Police want to speak to the occupants of a dark coloured SUV, seen travelling west towards Waiuku.
The SUV was travelling in front of a white Toyota Starlet that was involved in the crash.
We hope the occupants of this SUV can help us with our investigation.
