Update on Mazengarb Road tarseal issues

Published: Tue 20 Nov 2018 11:22 AM
Road works carried out last week have addressed some of the issues with failing tarseal on parts of Mazengarb Road and Guildford Drive in Paraparaumu.
Kāpiti Coast District Council Infrastructure Services Group Manager, Sean Mallon says contractors have resurfaced the intersections of Mazengarb Road and Realm Drive, and Mazengarb Road and Ratanui Road, with asphalt.
“Areas of the roads with exposed tarseal have also been re-chipped.”
“Speed restrictions and traffic management will remain in place over the next couple of days, until all the loose chip has been removed.”
Mr Mallon says the Council will continue to monitor these roads for any further surface issues and any further repair work will be undertaken as required.
“We know this situation is frustrating and we’d like to thank everyone for their continued patience over the last week while we’ve been working to resolve these issues.”
