Police are in attendance at a serious crash involving two vehicles near Kaeo in the Far North.
Emergency services were called to the scene on State Highway 10 about 1km south of Matauri Bay Road around 8:35pm.
Initial indications are that three people are injured, one seriously.
A helicopter has been called to transport the patients.
The road is currently down to one lane but will be closed for a time to allow the helicopter to land.
