Serious crash on State Highway 33

"Serious crash on State Highway 33"
Police are in attendance at a serious crash that occurred just after 7am on State Highway 33 near Okere Falls, Rotorua District.
The crash involved two cars and one occupant has sadly died.
Another occupant received serious injuries.
The road is closed and cordons are in place on State High 33 and Allport Road.
Police advise motorists to avoid the area.
The Serious Crash Unit has been notified.
