Police arrest female following investigation into death

Detective Inspector Tofilau Faa Va’aelua, Counties Manukau CIB:
Police investigating the death of a 56-year-old male following an incident in Manurewa early this morning have arrested a 57-year-old female.
The female, who is known to the victim, will be appearing in the Manukau District Court tomorrow where she will be facing a charge of assault with a weapon.
A post-mortem will take place tomorrow as Police enquiries continue into the circumstances surrounding the death.
Police are unable to comment further as the matter will be before the Court.
