The Marlborough Farmers Market joins the hustle and bustle of the fete at Pollard Park
For the first time in the history of the Marlborough Farmers Market, the market will be represented at the Garden
Marlborough Fête.
Traditionally the market does not operate at its usual A Park location coinciding with the fête because the A show, after which the park is aptly named, is taking over the location for the weekend.
A small subset of stall holders is joining the collective Marlborough Farmers Market gazebos at the Stihl Shop Garden
Fête on Churchill Glade, Pollard Park, this Sunday.
Neville White, Chairperson of the Marlborough Farmers’ Market says “this is an opportunity to fly the flag for the
market. A number of stall holders have joined the fête on an individual basis in previous years, and with the move to
Churchill Glade this year there is space to accommodate more Farmers’ Market stall holders collectively, under one
roof.”
Joining the Marlborough Farmers’ Market at the fête are new stallholders Lisa’s Peonies and Mabel's English Pork Pies
along with Koromiko Free Range eggs, Lowes Orchard Frut4U, Pinoli Premium Pine Nuts, Three Cats preserves, River Gold
Honey and our range of locally handcrafted and handmade gift items available from the community stall.
“We suspect our sturdy Farmers’ Market branded Jute Shopping Bags will come in handy for the many fête visitors on the
day, as will our wide brimmed Farmers’ Market hats”, says White.
The Marlborough Farmers Market gazebo is located at the northern end of Churchill Glade, near the stage.
Other Farmers’ Market stall holders scattered around the fête are: Cranky Goat Ltd - goats milk cheeses, Kaikoura
Cheese, Hedgerows - hydroponic strawberries, Isobel Olives, Nutt Ranch, Peter The Swiss Butcher, Koffie, Ritual, Feast
Merchants, Gourmet Deli, Wakame Grow and Stephens Shallots and Onions.
“Even though there is no Marlborough Farmers' Market at the A Park this Sunday, farmers market fans can still do most of their weekly grocery shop with us,” says White. We are
encouraging all Farmers’ Market fans to come to the fête on Sunday.
