Westland District Council is pleased to support the RSA in bringing Armistice Day commemoration events to Westland.

The first event will be held on the evening of Saturday 10 November with a light and video display hosted by the Hokitika Museum at the Carnegie Building from 8.30pm.

On Sunday 11 November RSA President, Jim Butzbach will unveil a Remembrance Panel at All Saints Church at 8.30am. The RSA will be joined by members of the New Zealand Army from Burnham camp at 10.30am for a wreath laying ceremony at the Cass Square Cenotaph. The RSA invites anybody who wishes to place a personal remembrance object to be part of this, or may do so privately prior to the parade. This will be followed by a re-enactment of the Roaring Chorus at 11am in Cass Square.

Citizens throughout New Zealand are encouraged to join in the Roaring Chorus. More information can be found at: https://ww100.govt.nz/roaring-chorus
