New Trustee for Destination Marlborough

Published: Wed 24 Oct 2018 03:36 PM
Scott McKenzie, General Manager at Marlborough Tour Company has been appointed as a Council representative Trustee on the Destination Marlborough Board. Scott replaces David Taylor who resigned after four years’ service as a Trustee.
Scott has held marketing and development roles with Marlborough Tour Company for the past 17 years with the last six years as General Manager. He has successfully led the company through a major growth phase during a time of global financial challenges, earthquakes, changing passenger flows and world events.
Destination Marlborough Chair Nigel Gould said it was exciting to have someone like Scott join the Board as he brought a combination of business skills, sector knowledge and the ability to challenge the status quo; all valuable assets which DM would be able to draw on as an organisation.
Mayor John Leggett said: “I’d like to welcome Scott on to the Board of Destination Marlborough. By taking on this role, he has identified a key opportunity to help shape the future of Marlborough’s visitor economy.”
Scott McKenzie joins current Trustees Nigel Gould (Chair), Barbara Faulls, Jane Hunter, Brent Marshall and Rob Burn.
