Wellington bus customers face potential disruption from bus drivers’ strike
Wellington, Hutt Valley and Porirua bus customers could face disruption to their travel from Tuesday (October 23) due to a strike by members of the Tramways Union employed by bus operator Tranzurban.
Metlink says exactly how any industrial action may play out is difficult to predict, but it will keep bus travellers updated on the evolving situation through the Metlink website and social media channels as well as public information on radio and newspapers.
“The key message for our customers is to please check before you travel. Use Metlink’s app or website to check for cancelled services.”
Metlink says it regrets the impact industrial action will have on bus customers.
