The highly anticipated
F.A.W.C! Food and Wine Classic Summer 2018 programme has
launched this week, featuring 60+ delectable events spanning
10 action-packed days in Hawke’s Bay, from 2 – 11

Returning for its seventh year, this year’s Summer F.A.W.C! will see talented local and national chefs, winemakers and foodies collaborate to produce an impressively diverse array of dishes and experiences, staged in a range of stunning locations across Hawke’s Bay.
Event prices range from $30 to $285 and include everything from lunches in secret locations to tasty street food, picnics and brunches, seafood and champagne, and one-of-a-kind experiences featuring the best food in Hawke’s Bay.
New for the F.A.W.C! Summer Series is F.A.W.C! Day Out, hosted at Black Barn Vineyards. One ticket will grant access to an all-day experience tasting the very best of Hawke’s Bay produce.
Revellers can look forward to food masterclasses with national culinary heroes Ray McVinnie, Nici Wickes and Martin Bosley, local icon James Beck, and food editor of Dish Magazine, Claire Aldous; wine masterclasses with local winemakers, including chardonnay supremo Tony Bish; freshly shucked oysters with Al Brown with his Depot Oyster Bar, and Juliet Harbutt’s ‘School for Big Cheeses’.
More than twenty Hawke’s Bay wineries, a selection of craft breweries and local cideries will also be serving up their wares while local food growers and producers deliver tasty goodies in the Market Round to top of a truly spectacular day in the region.
Hawke’s Bay Tourism General Manager, Annie Dundas, said the organisation is ecstatic to be organising the seventh Summer F.A.W.C!
