The Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter was dispatched on Friday 20 July to Mt Ruapehu to a male in his 50's who had fallen and suffered an injury to his back.
He stablised by the onboard paramedic before being airlifted to Palmerston North Hospital for further assessment.
The previous day, the rescue helicopter had been dispatched to Mt Ruapehu at just before 4 pm, to airlift a 14-year-old
female and a 15-year-old male who required hospital treatment.
Both patients stabilised by the onboard paramedic and were transported to Whanganui Hospital for further assessment.
Last that evening, the Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter was dispatched again. This time to Ohakune for a male in his 60's who was experiencing a medical emergency that
required hospital treatment. The man was stablised by the onboard paramedic before being airlifted to Whanganui Hospital
for further assessment.
