Published: Wed 11 Jul 2018 03:24 PM
The Kāpiti Coast District Council has opened applications for this year’s community grants scheme with a total of $33,500 available to community groups and organisations.
Council’s Programme Design and Delivery Manager Tania Parata says the scheme assists not-for-profit Kāpiti Coast organisations in the community.
“We’re able to support a wide range of community-based organisations that are trying to improve the quality of life for people living here in Kāpiti.”
The annual funding opportunity is earmarked for not-for-profit community-based organisations supporting local projects, programmes, and events contributing to social outcomes in the Kāpiti District. A maximum of $2000 is available for each eligible application that fits the scheme’s criteria of:
• Building resilient, sustainable communities;
• Encouraging greater community participation;
• Improving the quality of life of the participants; and
• Working in partnership with a range of community groups, including iwi.
