Porirua mayor Mike Tana statement on Kapiti air service
A statement from Mike Tana:
He is thrilled that Air Chathams has picked up the regional flight service between Auckland and Kāpiti.
“I know this route is one that people in Porirua frequently use, so it’s great news for our community, who have that option again of Wellington or Kāpiti airports.
“Air Chathams is already popular in the Eastern Bay of Plenty and Whanganui and when Transmission Gully comes on stream, this air link will become even more relevant – I urge people to consider the viability of the Kāpiti Airport option when making their travel plans.
“Well done to the operator, Kāpiti Airport and Kāpiti Coast District Council for making this happen.”
