SH2 Remutaka Hill under stop/go following minor slips

TRAFFIC BULLETIN

19 June 2018 | LOWER NORTH ISLAND

SH2 Remutaka Hill under stop/go following minor slips [9:19am]

The NZ Transport Agency is advising due to minor slips on State Highway 2, Remutaka Hill, traffic flow is being managed via stop/go while crews work as quickly as they can to reopen the closed lane.

The NZ Transport Agency’s Regional Transport Systems Manager Mark Owen says he expected the road will be fully reopened early afternoon.

“The slips aren’t big, but they are in challenging locations on a challenging stretch of road,” Mr Owen says

“One lane is still available to traffic, but road users may face delays as it being managed by stop/go.”

“We are asking those who have to use the road to allow extra travel time. There may be short delays until as crews work hard to restore the road to two lanes.”

The NZ Transport Agency wants to thank road user for their understanding and patience.

An update will be posted on our website and social media pages as soon as one is available.
