Presbyterian Support Central is another step closer to the construction of 43 new retirement apartments at its Enliven Longview site, Sunrise Boulevard, Tawa.
Presbyterian Support Central (PSC) Chief Executive Chris Graham said earthworks had just started and a range of one and two bedroom units would be added to the existing Longview rest home and hospital facilities.
“It’s great to have this exciting project underway and to be able to offer new options for retirement living in Tawa.
“Enliven is committed to building vibrant elder-centred communities and the apartments at Longview will complement the rest home and hospital services already in place.”
Construction is planned to start later this year and the first stage with 25 apartments will be completed in early 2020. More information including details of the look and feel of the apartments will be released in the coming months.
