Oamaru Police are investigating an incident which occurred in the Countdown car park on Eden Street at about 2.45pm on Friday 25 May.
A woman in her 70’s was knocked to the ground by an unknown male and received facial injuries as a result.
Police are working to establish exactly what has occurred and would appreciate hearing from anyone who may have witnessed this incident.
We would particularly like to speak with the good Samaritan driving a red utility vehicle, who administered first aid at the scene and assisted the victim in getting home.
