NZ Survivor
donates over $4,500 worth of Civil Defence gear to SCOUTS
New Zealand
NZ Survivor,
supplier of Civil Defence knowledge, products and services,
have become the latest community partner of SCOUTS New
Zealand. Through this partnership, they have agreed to
donate surplus/out of date items to Groups for training and
development purposes as well as assign special discounts to
all SCOUT Members.
‘At NZ Survivor we supply offices
and ministries all over the country, although we understand
the requirements to ensure all gear is within legal expiry
– in reality bandages, beanies, high vis jackets and hard
hats are still usable for training well after this date. We
firmly believe in reducing waste and as such wanted to find
a responsible and trustworthy partner to donate the items
to. SCOUTS is a natural
fit’.
Ricky Mark, Director, NZ
Survivor.
As a Community Partner, NZ
Survivor can benefit from promoting their brand across the
20,000 strong membership which includes 15,000+ young people
and 5,000+ volunteers plus their families and friends.
‘We are excited to be partnering with NZ Survivor in what we hope will be a long and successful relationship. At SCOUTS being prepared for all eventualities is deeply engrained in who we are and having the resources available to ensure that our young people continue to build their knowledge is hugely valuable’
Josh Tabor, Chief Executive – SCOUTS New Zealand.
The initial donation included tarpaulins, torch radios, first aid kits, hats and hundreds of glow sticks culminating in over $4,500 worth of gear. There will be new gear on a monthly basis distributed to the 390 Scout Groups around the country.
