Storm damage across Auckland (updating local road closures)
There is damage across Auckland this morning after last night’s severe storm.
There are traffic lights, motorway signage and traffic cameras not working because of power outages and there may be surface flooding and storm debris on the roads.
Please only travel if you have to and approach uncontrolled intersections with caution and observe normal give way rules.
NZ Transport Agency advises all motorways across the Auckland network and the Auckland Harbour Bridge are open.
The following local roads have partial closures: Pine Ave between Parrs Cross Rd loops, Henderson; Woodside Ave, Massey; Temple St, Meadowbank; Maskell St, St Heliers; corner Marne Rd and Settlement Rd, Papakura; Gillies Ave between Kohia Tce and Kimberley (powerlines down).
Most train services are operating this morning.
Western Line:
All Western Line services will start and terminate at Henderson. Shuttle buses are operating to Henderson
Pukekohe Shuttle:
Services are operating
Southern, Eastern & Onehunga Lines:
Services are operating with delays because of power outages
Ferry services are operating with the exception of Northcote Point.
Bus services are operating but there may be delays because of debris on the roads.
