Bargains for book lovers in library sale
Dunedin (Tuesday, 3 April 2018) – Friday is a red letter day for Dunedin book lovers with the beginning of the Dunedin Public
Libraries' book sale.
The annual sale, in the City Library car park in Moray Place, will get underway at 9.30am on Friday morning until 8pm
that night, and then continue over the weekend from 11am to 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
Dunedin Public Libraries Events Co-ordinator Kay Mercer says the book sale is an opportunity to stock up on reading
material and other items as the nights get longer.
"There will be a wide range of reading material in the sale, including adult and children's fiction, non-fiction and
magazines no longer needed for the lending collections. We will also be selling DVDs, posters and other miscellaneous
items.
"It's exciting to be holding the sale in the basement again. It always has a real buzz about it and it also allows us to
run a full-sized book sale with a wide range of material on sale.
"We always recommend people get there early because it's not unusual for people to queue out the door and along the
street in anticipation. Also make sure you bring your own carrier bags to put your books in so you can get them home."
Eftpos and cash facilities are available.
