New Swim School for Dunedin in July
The Dunedin City Council is launching its own swim school in July.
Moana Pool Manager Nicola Jukes says, “The contract with our current swim school franchise, Swimsation, is coming to an end and we decided to take the opportunity to provide an in-house swim school and look at how we can improve swim school services for our customers in the future.”
Moana Pool staff and swim school customers have been advised and the change will not result in any job losses.
“We’ll continue to employ the same staff and we’ll continue to offer lessons to schools.
“There will be some changes for customers, as how the current swim school operates is unique to the Swimsation franchise, but we’ll be working to make it a smooth transition. A lot of thought and work has gone into this and ultimately our goal is to offer a quality swim school for the people of Dunedin.”
Through the new in-house swim school, lessons will continue to be provided at Moana Pool and DCC community pools.

The new swim school starts on 23 July and more information about it will be available closer to the time.
