Volunteers are sought to fill important roles at one of Taranaki’s most renowned attractions.

Volunteers can get involved in a range of activities at Pukeiti, including tours and events.
Pukeiti is looking for volunteers to be involved in a range of activities including events, biodiversity work, tour
guiding and gardening.
“Pukeiti has seen some exciting developments over the past few years and they haven’t finished yet,” says Greg Rine,
Regional Gardens Manager for the Taranaki Regional Council.
“Visitor reaction has been overwhelmingly positive and a lot more people are coming to check it out for themselves.”
Greg says there are a host of options for volunteers wanting to be involved. “You don’t necessarily need any particular
experience – we are looking for people passionate about New Zealand history and culture, gardening, our native
biodiversity, or even those just keen on meeting new people.”
Training and support will be provided, and volunteers can expect a great team culture. If you think you might be

Pukeiti has one of the world’s biggest and most diverse collections of rhododendrons, set against a backdrop of lush
native rainforest. Its new all-weather Rainforest Centre has a multi-media interpretation area, café, function space and
access to covered walkways. Pukeiti also has extensive walking trails and family-friendly facilities. To learn more, go
