It’s World Water Day, Thursday 22 March
It’s time to rethink water use. It’s a precious commodity. It’s the clean, fresh stuff we’re famous for in New Zealand,
along with our beautiful scenes of nature.
World Water Day is part of the United Nations Environment Program. Its purpose is to raise awareness and highlight the simplicity of the small changes we can make to reduce un-necessary
water use and preserve and enhance the clean water sources we already have.
Nick Porter – Co-Founder of ENJO New Zealand – has always been proud of the water savings the ENJO Team educate people
with, right across NZ.
ENJO is an environmentally conscious company with a mission to safeguard the environment for present and future
generations, and Nick says the water reductions for a family of four, that come from one simple and healthy change in a
household cleaning choice, is significant.
“Too many households are still wasting water with their cleaning choices”, Nick shares.
“The facts are; every home has a cleaning regime and we really can’t afford, as a nation, to keep wasting water with the
outdated cleaning habits of squirting sprays and sprinkling powders, and then applying all that effort and then turning
the tap on to wash away the solutions we’ve scrubbed with. We are seriously wasting too much water!”
“When you think about what goes down the drain, ultimately this also means we’re sending un-necessary toxins out to our
waterways and land. This is why World Water Day matters – it gives people a reason to have conversations at home, at
work and in the school system about our current water use and what we can ALL be doing better.”
The ENJO Team is incredibly proud to be highlighting water use on World Water Day by immediately showing families some simple solutions to drastically reduce the amount of water wasted, when cleaning.
