Upper Hutt's Gas Hub’s Parks and Places
The Gas Hub’s Parks and Places brings Picnic and Play to Upper Hutt
Celebrate the end of summer in
Upper Hutt with an evening picnic and free activities for
the whole family.
UPPER HUTT, Wellington
NZ, 01 MAR 2018—Upper Hutt City Council’s Activation
team invite everyone to join them for Picnic and Play
at Awakairangi Park on the evening of Tuesday 13 March. This
is a perfect opportunity to bring the whole family, pack a
meal, shake out the picnic rug, and dust off your
kites.
Activation will bring along the ‘play pod’ full of loose equipment and set up friendly games of football and touch for everyone. Yummy real-fruit ice cream and barbecued foods will be available to purchase. There will also be a ‘chill out’ picnic area for refueling and rehydrating.
“We see this as a perfect opportunity for the community to get out together and spend some time in one of Upper Hutt’s fantastic recreational areas,” says Activation’s Community Recreation Advisor, Steph Reichardt.
Picnic and Play is one of the last events in The Gas Hub’s Parks and Places summer events programme.
“We have had such a fun and successful summer programme this year, helped by the awesome weather Upper Hutt has had!” says Ms Reichardt. “We hope to see families coming along and enjoying some time together—a great opportunity for community engagement.”
The Gas Hub’s Parks and Places runs until 18 March 2018
