Mitre 10 MEGA Buggy Walk heads to Upper Hutt

Upper Hutt will be hosting the popular Mitre 10 MEGA Buggy Walk at Trentham Memorial Park in March.

UPPER HUTT, Wellington NZ, 26 FEB 2018— Parents, caregivers, and grandparents with under 5s are invited to join the Upper Hutt City Council’s Activation team at the next Mitre 10 MEGA Buggy Walk, at Trentham Memorial Park on 1 March. The walk traces a loop from the playground area through Barton’s Bush and along the scenic Hutt River Trail, and lasts about an hour. A shorter walk is also available.

“We love hosting the buggy walks in Upper Hutt,” says Activation Team Leader, Ellie Davidson. “We have plenty of open space for everyone to enjoy the outdoors, with many of our local parks catering for buggies.”

For over ten years Councils in the Wellington region have been partnering with Sport Wellington to run the buggy walks. They cater for those with children under 5, to enjoy buggy-friendly walks, and provide opportunities for people to socialise and be physically active at the same time.

The Mitre 10 MEGA Buggy Walks are free monthly events, run on the first Thursday of every month at various parks and tracks throughout the greater Wellington region. The walks commence at 10.30 am and there is no need to register—simply turn up on the day.
