DHL announces ‘Drop Your Flag’ promotion to celebrate 15 years of Surf Life Saving New Zealand partnership
• Kiwis stand a chance to win cash prizes for themselves and for their local Surf Life Saving Club
New Zealand, 19 February 2017 – DHL Express, the world’s leading international express services provider is celebrating 15 years of partnership with Surf Life Saving New Zealand (SLSNZ) to deliver safer beaches.
To mark this special milestone and continuous commitment, DHL is giving Kiwis the chance to win cash for themselves and a Surf Life Saving Club of their choice this summer. DHL has buried $10,000 cash on one of the 80 patrolled beaches in New Zealand, and invites everyone to drop a red and yellow patrol flag via online co-ordinates to locate the prize. The closest flag to the secret co-ordinates will win the cash prize, of which $5,000 will be donated to a Surf Life Saving Club of the winner’s choice, thanks to DHL.
Mark Foy, Country Manager, DHL Express New Zealand, said, “We’re incredibly proud to be celebrating 15 years of partnership with Surf Life Saving New Zealand this year. We hope people enjoy the opportunity to support their local club through ‘Drop Your Flag,’ not to mention the cash prize which will help the lucky winner enjoy their Kiwi Summer just a little bit more this year.” Each year, New Zealand’s local Surf Life Saving Clubs help keep over 80 Kiwi beaches safer through the long summer months.
Paul Dalton, CEO, Surf Life Saving New Zealand, said, “I’m proud to celebrate this milestone with DHL and we are incredibly grateful for their ongoing support of our charity organization and our clubs. This campaign highlights their dedication to helping us deliver safer beaches by focusing on the red and yellow patrol flag and the need to always swim between them at our patrol locations.”
To enter this contest, participants simply need to visit the DHL “Drop Your Flag” website (www.DHLdropyourflag.co.nz) select a patrolled beach where they think the prize may have been buried, and simply drop a flag. The closest flag to the secret co-ordinates will win the prize. To help narrow the search, there will be a “DHL Safer Beaches” quiz that will unlock clues to the secret location.
The DHL ‘Drop Your Flag’ competition will run from 19 February to 19 March 2018. The winner will be announced on 19 March on the website.
