SH1 cleared after crash near Puhoi, but expect long delays

Published: Fri 16 Feb 2018 03:17 PM
Motorists heading north from Auckland on State Highway can expect delays after a crash blocked the road north of Puhoi.
The road has now been cleared, but there is traffic backed up in both directions. For north-bound motorists, the tailback reaches the Johnstone’s Hill tunnel, while heading south traffic is backed up to Warkworth.
The Transport Agency advises motorists to delay their journeys on SH1 or use the alternative route SH16. The Transport Agency thanks motorists for their patience and understanding.
