Man Injured in Car versus Truck Accident
The Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter was dispatched at 8.30 am on Monday 5 February to a motor vehicle versus truck accident on the rail overbridge at Manakau, south of Levin.
The patient, a male in his 30's, was initially trapped in the vehicle. He was extracted by NZ Fire and Emergency services. He had suffered multiple injuries.
The man was treated and stablised at the scene by paramedics, before being airlifted to Palmerston North Hospital for further treatment.
