HUHA Paws in the Park regional summer series begins in Upper Hutt this Sunday
Backed by the regional and
local councils of Wellington, HUHA Paws in the Park returns
as a summer series of dog walks around the
region.
UPPER HUTT, Wellington NZ, 08 JAN
2018—HUHA Paws in the Park is a fantastic series
of, free group dog walks that will run this summer in Upper
Hutt, Hutt City, Wellington, Porirua, and Kapiti
Coast.
“We love working in collaboration with the other five councils to host these events over summer,” says Upper Hutt City Council’s Activation Team Leader, Ellie Davidson. “It’s great being involved with Paws in the Park in Upper Hutt and seeing how much the community enjoys the group dog walk and socialising.”
HUHA Paws in the Park events will be run on a number of Sundays between 14 January and 11 March 2018. All events start at 10.00 am and the length of the walk will vary depending on location. The Upper Hutt walk is at Tunnel Gully Recreation Area on Sunday 14 January at 10.00 am.
Great for dog and nature lovers alike, HUHA Paws in the Park is designed to showcase the many great dog-friendly open spaces located across the region. It’s also a great opportunity to take your dog and your family and friends somewhere new for an adventure.
“We are also extremely happy to be partnering with HUHA (Helping You Help Animals charity) at our Paws in the Park walks across the region,” says Mrs Davidson. “We welcome any donations people would like to give on the day to the volunteer-run animal shelter.”
HUHA volunteers and dogs will be in attendance at all the walks. Please remember to bring your dog on a lead as well as plastic bags to clean up after your pet.
