‘Kegs for Christmas’ charity fundraiser

Garage Project Brewery is bringing it’s annual ‘Kegs for Christmas’ charity fundraiser back to Wellington, with all proceeds going to Kaibosh food rescue!

WELLINGTON, New Zealand- 6 December 2017

At Garage Project for the last 4 years we’ve donated 12 kegs to different venues around our home town of Wellington during Christmas, with all the proceeds going to help a food rescue charity called “Kaibosh’.

Kaibosh links the food industry with community groups that support people in need ensuring that quality surplus food reaches those who are struggling rather than being needlessly discarded. This benefits both our community and our environment.

Working in Wellington and the Hutt Valley with the help of a dedicated team of more than 160 volunteers, Kaibosh rescues and sorts food 7 days a week. They deliver up to 20,000kg of quality surplus food each month to community groups that support people in need. This is the equivalent of 57,000 meals provided to those who need it most, as well as a 15,570kg reduction in carbon emissions. We’ve raised nearly $40,000 for Kaibosh in these four years.

We are donating 12 Kegs of GP’s finest brews to the following venues, pouring one day only on December 16th.
