Judging took place over the course of this
morning, just one day before the event opens to the public.
Each accolade was awarded through a rigorous judging process
by a panel of independent experts, judging over 100
exhibitions on a number of criteria including; command of
space, use of design elements, use of materials and
emotional impact.
Convenor of Judges and award-winning
designer, Pascal Garbe said
“The range of award-winners
is a testament to the strength of the New Zealand
horticultural community. With this show, I am convinced that
New Zealand will attract the attention of all garden experts
around the world whether they are in Europe, America or
Asia!"
Event Director Kate Hillier was thrilled with the
talent shining through at the inaugural show.
“The
inaugural New Zealand Flower & Garden Show is off to a
tremendous start, to put it simply, the talent speaks for
itself this year. The hard work is done and it’s time to
sit back and appreciate the effort that has gone into
bringing these marvellous designs to life. I’d like to
take this opportunity to congratulate each and every
participant and thank them for their contribution towards
making this year’s show such a wonderful success. We look
forward to welcoming everyone back again next year!”
Hillier says.
The New Zealand Flower & Garden Show runs
from November 29th – 3rd December from 10 am to 6pm.
Showcasing everything from intimate urban gardens,
challenging landscapes, bee-friendly flowerbeds and
flourishing fruit and vegetable plots. With over 100
horticultural and floral art displays, there’s something
for everyone.
The Show is packed with entertainment for
all ages and stages and especially welcomes children with an
