Help us celebrate the launch of Regenerate Magazine
On 1 December, Regenerate Magazine – which will support people struggling with homelessness and poverty - will launch on
the streets of Wellington.
Join us at the official launch on 26 November to buy a magazine and meet some of the vendors. You will also hear from
the editorial and production team about how the community can contribute to a quality magazine that will provide poverty
affected people with an opportunity to earn a legitimate income.
Regenerate Magazine Director Simon Dodd says it’s an initiative that’s been needed in the capital for some time.
“There seem to be increasing numbers of people sleeping rough around Wellington and we wanted to give them an
opportunity to earn a living. It’s a pragmatic response to a very complex issue.”
Vendors will purchase copies of the monthly magazine and on-sell them to the public.
“We’re hoping that locals will show their support by buying an issue each month. It’s a great way to support those less
fortunate but it will also be a great read.”
The launch party is a family-friendly event and all are welcome. There will be music from Wellington singer/songwriter
St. Bartholomew (who's featured in the first issue) and Harris, who will be showcasing some tracks from his forthcoming
LP 'Bed Bugs'.
