Callout to Truck & Trailer Down Bank
The Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter was dispatched at 5 pm on Wednesday 1 November to the western side of Puketoi Range, Paihiatua, where a truck and trailer had come off the road and gone down a 12-metre bank. NZ Police and NZ Fire had also been called to the scene.
The 73-year-old male driver had been ejected from the vehicle and suffered multi injuries. The man stabilised at the scene before being airlifted to Palmerston North Hospital for treatment.
