Century 21 Huntly wins ‘best photo’ for Pink October

Century 21 New Zealand has been busy fundraising for the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation’s Pink October.

As an official ‘Community Supporter’ for Pink October again, Century 21’s offices nationwide have rolled up their sleeves in the quest of who can raise the most for NZBCF.

“As a company, Pink October is our main charity fundraiser for the year. There’s always plenty of rivalry between our offices as to who can win top fundraising office. However, as far as best photos go Doug Boyde from Huntly takes the cake,” says Geoff Barnett, National Manager of Century 21 New Zealand.

Mr Barnett is referring to a photo of Doug Boyde, owner of Century 21 Rural & Residential (Huntly), selling raffle tickets for the cause out the front of his office on the main street of Huntly, dressed in a pink polo shirt and wearing women’s pink sun-glasses.

“Doug has really gone beyond the call of duty this time. He has spent a few days outside the office selling raffle tickets to win a trolley of groceries and gifts, donated by local grocery store K Beez and other Huntly businesses. He was wheeling and dealing, raising lots of money for the Breast Cancer Foundation.

“Doug’s gallant fundraising efforts, along with what our many other offices and agents have been doing, will all go towards raising community awareness, supporting women with breast cancer, and vital research.”

Mr Barnett says in the past when Century 21 New Zealand has turned pink for October it has raised over $30,000 for the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation. He says the real estate company remains steadfastly committed to the cause, with Century 21 Australia also supporting breast cancer.

Activity this year included the Century 21 Pink October Charity Golf Classic which was held at Kapiti Golf Club on 14 October.

“I look forward to seeing which of our offices has raised the most this October and presenting a cheque from our collective efforts. In the meantime, without doubt ‘photo of the month’ goes to Huntly,” says Mr Barnett.
