Real Journeys announced as Queenstown Winter Festival Title Partner
Queenstown, New Zealand (19 October 2017) Leading tourism company Real Journeys has today been announced as the Queenstown Winter Festival’s new title partner.
The exciting announcement will breathe fresh life into one of New Zealand’s most iconic and longest-standing events. It is also the first time in the Queenstown Winter Festival’s 43 year history that a Queenstown based business has been the major partner.
Destination Queenstown Chief Executive Graham Budd said he is delighted with the new partnership.
”We are very excited to announce this partnership with Real Journeys, who have a deep connection with Queenstown and the wider Southern region. This commitment also demonstrates their recognition of the value of the annual Queenstown Winter Festival to both our local community as well as our visitors.
“The Queenstown Winter Festival is Destination Queenstown’s largest winter marketing investment and together with Real Journeys the Festival is in a great position to continue delivering this winter celebration in the years ahead. It is also fantastic news for our new Festival Director, Rae Baker, who started on Monday 16 October,” said Mr Budd.
Richard Lauder, Chief Executive of Real Journeys said “We are very pleased to enter this relationship as principle sponsor of The Queenstown Winter Festival. We are also very proud to be the first local company to step up and get behind the Winter Festival at this level. Through this association, we expect Real Journeys along with our Cardrona Alpine Resort and Go Orange businesses, will become more widely recognised, both domestically and internationally.”
In 2017 Real Journeys became a key Festival sponsor for the first time, sponsoring the Friday Night Party & Fireworks and creating the Real Journeys Thank You Cruise. Based on this successful working experience between the Festival and Real Journeys in 2017, Real Journeys were encouraged to play an even bigger part from 2018 onwards.
Real Journeys becomes the title sponsor and other tourism companies in the Real Journeys Group, Cardrona and Go Orange, will also be represented within the Festival.
Real Journeys will lead a group of sponsors aligning themselves with the iconic, high profile and successful event that attracts both locals and visitors.
The 2018 “Real Journeys Queenstown Winter Festival” will run from 21 – 24 June 2018.
