Police are searching in Wellington this morning for missing man Graham Penny.
The 66-year-old left his Johnsonville rest home around 4:30pm yesterday afternoon and has not returned.
Police and his family are very concerned for his safety.
Police made enquiries overnight to locate Mr Penny, who suffers from dementia, but unfortunately had no luck.
We are this morning searching in the area around the rest home and in other parts across Wellington and Lower Hutt.
We ask that members of the public keep an eye out for Mr Penny and contact us immediately via 111 if they find him.
If you have other information which may help us to locate him, please call Wellington Police on 04 381 2000.
