Hospitals to gauge people’s snackisfaction
Capital & Coast DHB will survey staff, patients and visitors to find out how happy they are with the retail cafés operating on hospital grounds.
“Good food and coffee, and friendly service, can be really comforting for someone going through a difficult time or working a long shift,” said contracts manager Kenny McCaul (pictured).
“It’s important that the businesses we allow to operate at the hospitals understand that, and consistently deliver high-quality food and service.”
Wellington Regional Hospital has three onsite cafés – Fuel, Wishbone and Wellington Vibe. Kenepuru Community Hospital has two – Kenepuru Vibe and Poppies.
The survey is currently available to staff, with hard copies available for patients and visitors at the cafés from 9 October. It will close on 13 October.
“Hundreds of staff, patients and visitors are at our hospitals every day. We want to find out who is eating where, how they feel about the services and – most importantly – what we can do to improve their experience while they’re here.”
