Chamber welcomes Day as new Deputy Mayor, wishes Eagle well
The Wellington Chamber of Commerce welcomes the appointment of Jill Day as Wellington’s new Deputy Mayor, and thanks outgoing Deputy Paul Eagle.
“We congratulate Cr Eagle on his election to Parliament as the member for Rongotai,” says John Milford, Wellington Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive.
“He has been a keen representative of the community as a councillor and as Deputy Mayor – there’s no doubt that will continue in his new role.
“The Chamber also congratulates Cr Day on her appointment as Deputy Mayor. In her time to date as a councillor she has been well received by the community and is beginning to impress in the role. We look forward to working with her.”
