Update - search for missing man Stephen Lowe

Police are continuing the search for missing Dunedin man Stephen Lowe, who has not been seen since Friday, September 15th.

LandSAR is again searching today in the Catlins area, around Mclean Falls, with up to 20 volunteers.

The Police National Dive Squad is searching the falls and the subsequent river, with kayakers assisting as well.

Police are still appealing for information from anyone who may have seen Mr Lowe, particularly the occupants of a small red car that was parked at Mclean Falls at 11am on Saturday September 16th.

This may have been a local vehicle or possibly a tourist that had walked to the McLean Falls that day.

Police is grateful for the support of the LandSAR volunteers and the Catlins community during the search for Mr Lowe.
