"Police receive good response in Tirau murder case following Police Ten 7 episode"
Following the airing of Police Ten 7 on Thursday 31 August 2017, Police have received a number of calls from the public in regards to Operation Tranship, the investigation into the murder of Roma Joseph, in Tirau earlier this year.
Police have received calls with information relating to the person seen walking past the Caltex Service Station at about 3:18am on Monday 1 May 2017, as well as information in relation to other aspects of the case.
“All of these calls have been extremely helpful to our investigation,” says Detective Senior Sergeant Matt Cranshaw, Area Manager: Investigations, Taupo.
“It just goes to show that almost five months down the track people still have information of value about the enquiry.”
“We encourage anyone who may have information that could help, no matter how minor it may seem, to please get in touch with us.”
Anyone with information relating to Operation Tranship is encouraged to call 0800 766 211.
