Golden Bay Grand Stand Community Trust (the Trust) is interested in hearing from anyone who remembers or has information about the style of external cladding and the inside of the grandstand over the years. Project Manager Paul Crockford says "indications are that rough sawn weatherboards, rusticated weatherboards, and corrugated iron have all been used at various times. Community input would be much appreciated." Crockford said the response to the pledge-a-seat fundraiser had been very encouraging and donation pledges have so far ranged from $30 to $10,000. Crockford is delighted that the new rec centre is already thriving. The Trust's lawyer is reviewing the document TDC has prepared regarding the future of the grandstand.
