Urgent Road Repairs - SH16 & SH18 - 17.08.2017

Closure of the State Highway 16 (SH16) and State Highway 18 (SH18) lanes and ramps – tonight, Thursday, 17 August 2017

The NZ Transport Agency advises motorists that the following closures on State Highway 16 (SH16) and State Highway 18 (SH18) will be in place on Thursday night, 17 August 2017, for urgent road repairs.

SH16
• Southbound lanes between Brigham Creek Road roundabout and Lincoln Road on ramp
• Hobsonville Road southbound on ramp
• Royal Road southbound on ramp

SH18
• Westbound lanes between Hobsonville Road off ramp and SH16

The work will be carried out between 9pm and 5am when traffic flows are lightest. Please follow the signposted detours.

The road surface has deteriorated significantly during the recent bad weather and the repairs now need to be carried out urgently.

The Transport Agency apologises for any inconvenience during this essential work and asks motorists to take extra care while this urgent repair work is carried out.
