Clearview Estate finalists in excellence awards
Clearview Estate Winery is in a state of anticipation with three regional quality experience awards up for grabs.
The vineyards, winery and restaurant business has been part of the Hawke’s Bay hospitality and tourism scene for almost three decades, and is a finalist in the region’s Hospo Awards’ new Outstanding Cellar Door award, and as first-time entrant, is in the running for the Essence of Hawke’s Bay award at the Hawke’s Bay Tourism Awards.
Trade sales team member Lisa Clarke also has the privilege of being a finalist for the fifth time in the outstanding supplier/sales representative category in the hospo awards. She has taken out the title twice before, and is looking forward to the celebration on Monday night.
For Helma van den Berg, co-founder and co-owner, being a finalist in the awards is testament to the commitment of the Clearview Estate team to providing a unique and enduring experience for diners and visitors to the iconic Red Shed restaurant and cellar door in Te Awanga.
“We work hard to engage our staff in providing top quality service while still being ‘real’ with our visitors and our trade clients. It’s important for people to feel they are front and centre of our attention and that we are genuinely interested in them, their visitor experience and needs,” Ms van den Berg says.
Winners of the Hawke’s Bay Hospo Awards will be announced on Monday (14 August) at an awards event at MTG, followed by a function at East Pier.
Finalists in the Hawke’s Bay Tourism Awards were announced on 9 August with the public able to vote on-line for the People’s Choice award until 22 August at www.hawkesbaytourism.nz
These awards acknowledge tourism businesses that deliver exceptional visitor experiences, with winners being announced on 24 August.
