Christchurch Mums Celebrate Breastfeeding with the Big Latch On
The Canterbury Breastfeeding Advocacy Service at Te Puawaitanga ki Ōtautahi Trust is organising a Big Latch On celebratory event for local breastfeeding mums at the McFaddens Centre Café, McFaddens Road on Friday August 4th. Doors open at 9.30am, a delicious free morning tea will be served from 10am with the Big Latch On at 10.30am (mums all breastfeeding at once!) on the dot! Natural Magic will then entertain the toddlers with songs and a puppet show.
The Big Latch On event is part of World Breastfeeding Week celebrations all over the world. #WBW2017 calls on everyone to work together in partnership to support breastfeeding women. The McFaddens Centre Big Latch On event is one of hundreds taking place all over Aotearoa New Zealand in celebration of breastfeeding women and their whanau/families.
We warmly invite all breastfeeding women in the community to join us! Women who are unable to make it to a venue can take part virtually via #BrelfieNZ, flooding Facebook, Instagram and Twitter with their breastfeeding selfies.
