Local businesses will have the opportunity to hear first-hand about Air New Zealand’s plans for Kapiti at a special
business briefing being hosted next week by the Kapiti Coast Chamber of Commerce.
Ian Collier, Air New Zealand Regional Manager, will update the local business community on how to make the ‘Kapiti
Story’ fly, and take advantage of our unique tourism opportunities.
Kapiti Coast Chamber of Commerce Chair, Heather Hutchings says the Kapiti Regional Airport will play an important role
in shaping the future of Kapiti.
“As a business community we are incredibly supportive of Air New Zealand’s place in Kapiti, and how we can work together
to make the most of the unprecedented opportunities for growth we have.
“Air New Zealand will play an important role in our local economy as we take advantage of key infrastructure like the
Expressway coming online, and Transmission Gully due to be completed in 2020. We are thrilled they are taking time to
speak to local businesses and share their vision for Kapiti” says Heather Hutchings.
Kapiti Coast District Council’s Kevin Currie will also brief businesses on the Council's progress around its ‘Open for
Business’ programme and making the most of our more connected communities, along with a strategic overview from David
Webber, Chair of the Economic Development Leadership Group.
Kapiti Coast Chamber of Commerce Chair Heather Hutchings and Co-Chair Juelene Hope will also update members on the
Chamber’s Advocacy work.
The Kapiti Coast Chamber of Commerce’s Business Briefing will be held on the 26th of July from 5.15pm at Kapiti Sports
