Five way race for Timaru Ward position
Five nominations have been received for the Timaru ward by-election for Timaru District Council to replace former-Councillor Tracy Tierney.
The candidates are:
· BOWEN, Nigel
· BRIEN, Anthony
· CLEVERLEY, Murray
· JACKSON, Owen (OJ)
· ROGERS, Mark
An election will now be held, with voting papers being sent to electors from Monday 14 August 2017. All Timaru Ward electors should receive their voting papers by Saturday 19 August 2017. Only Timaru ward electors are eligible to vote in the by-election.
Voting will open Monday 14 August and close Tuesday 5 September at 12Noon. Election day is Tuesday 5 September 2017.
