Police Seek Witnesses to Crash Near Invercargill on SAT 1/7

Invercargill Police are investigating a single vehicle motor vehicle crash involving a white Toyota van on Tiwai Road.
The crash occurred 11 kilometre’s south east of Invercargill, on Saturday the 1st of July 2017.
The vehicle had two occupants, and one of them sustained serious injuries.
Both occupants were taken to Southland Hospital before one was transferred to Christchurch for further treatment.
Invercargill Police are wanting to hear from anyone who was travelling on Tiwai Road between the hours of 6.45am and 7.30am on Saturday the 1st of July 2017 and may have seen the crash or the vehicle involved.
Police would also like to speak to the driver of a single cab red ute that was travelling on Tiwai Road towards the Tiwai Smelter at the time of the crash.
