Mayor Boult wears a wig in support of the Child Cancer Foundation
Queenstown Lakes District Mayor Jim Boult is challenging other Mayors around New Zealand to support the Child Cancer
Foundation and don a wig for Wig Wednesday (21 June).
Mayor Boult, who is also the National Chairman of the Child Cancer Foundation, says the day is important to raise
awareness around the profoundeffect child cancer has on many Kiwi families and the additional support that is required
through their journey.
“The Child Cancer Foundation is an extraordinary organisation that is there to help families affected by child cancer.
They provide strength to many in particularly hard times and we can all do our bit to help the Foundation continue this
amazing service.
“The more awareness, the greater the impact - so wear your wig and help spread the word. Thank you in advance to all
those who donate.”
All proceeds raised will be going toward providing emotional, practical and financial support to Kiwi kids and their
families affected by cancer.
